Meet The Doctor

Dr. Jennings graduated with honors from one of the premier Dental Schools in the United States, The University of California in San Francisco.  He has continured his education over the years by attending many postgraduate courses and seminars.  Dr. Jennings is a Fellow of The American College of Dentists which is an honor bestowed upon very few dentists.  He was nominated and selected by his peers for leadership, ethics and professionalism in practicing dentistry.  He has been honored with a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry after completing 500 or more hours of post graduate training in specific areas of practice, and passing an extensive examination.

Dr. Jennings is a native of St. George and is a descendent of original Southern Utah pioneers. Growing up in St. George, he attended St. George Elementary School, Woodward Jr. High, Dixie High School, and Dixie College.  After graduating from Dixie College he served a mission to England for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Upon returning from England, he graduated from dental school at The University of California in San Francisco. He served in the Army Dental Corp for two years spending one year on the staff at Letterman General Hospital and then spent one year treating patients and managing a dental clinic in Saigon, Viet Nam. For the next 28 years, he had a very busy General Denitistry practice in Bakersfield, California. In 1996 he sold his practice and moved back to St. George, where he is now practicing. He is excited to come back to his roots and loves living in such a great community with the wonderful people.

Dr. Jennings is married to Suzanne Scott and they are the proud parents of five children. Their son Jason is a certified Prosthotist-Orthotist who is practicing in Hourston, Texas. Madelynn is a Master English teacher and teaches at Desert Hills Middle School. Jared has a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah and is working in San Deigo, California. Catherine has finished Medical School at the University of Utah, a Residency in Pediatricts at Primary Childrens Hospital, and is now practicing in Layton, Utah. Caroline is studying Piano Performance, and is working toward a Masters Degree at the University of Utah.

In his church Dr. Jennings has served as a Bishop, Bishop’s Counselor, High Counselor, Stake President’s Counselor, Scout Master, Scout Committee, Young Men’s President and Councilor, High Priest Group Leader, Sunday School teacher and other church callings. In 2002 - 2004 he and Suzanne served a mission in Frankfurt Germany.
